Ficus lyrata (Supplied in a 25cm black plastic nursery pot with drainage holes)
The Fiddleleaf Fig is a popular indoor specimen plant featuring large, violin shaped, heavily veined leaves that grow on an upright trunk. The fiddle-leaf fig is perfect as a focal point of a room as it can grow to several feet in height.
Fantastic sculptural leaves, easy care and impressive height mean that this fig variety is one of the wow factor plants of many an indoor plant collection.
Water when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times, but do not overwater as this will cause leaf drop.
The Fiddleleaf does well in normal household temperatures but will thrive in a slightly warmer environment. Avoid cold draughts. Moderate to fast-growing.
Considered poisonous due to the latex in the sap, therefore keep away from children and animals or anyone with latex allergies or asthma symptoms.
Note that the demand for Ficus lyrata currently exceeds supply and we have a waiting list. Pleasecontact us if you would like to be added to our list of interested customers. We will fulfil on a first come, first served basis.
