Ficus 'Amstel Gold' is characterized by its slender, elongated leaves (slightly bamboo in appearance in an umbrella-like form) with flashes of gold along its leaf margins. These specimen plants are approx. 1-1.1meters in height and .5meters wide. They enjoy warm, medium to bright conditions in indirect/filtered light. Bright, direct light may result in scalding of the leaves and leaf loss. Potting mix needs to be rich and well-drained.
Care Tips: When watering always check the top of the soil first. Only water if the top of the potting mix feels dry to the touch or if the soil feels dry when you do the finger test.
Feed with liquid fertiliser or slow-release pellets in the beginning of the growing season. Fertilize once a month in the spring and summer and once every two months in the autumn and winter.
